2021 Line Up 🎶

Dave Alvin, Aaron Collins & Ethan Collins  first played together at Aaron's bar mitzvah in 1984 doing Judas Priest covers. Throughout the years they used several different drummers, until finally their school buddy Mike Caldarella joined them in 1988. White Trash was known around New York City as an amazing live band from Queens that would smash TV's, throw money into the crowd, hand out pizza and White Castle hamburgers and destroy innocent stuffed animals. The band was constantly evolving, moving from straight up hard rock to progressive funk. As the band evolved musically they tried adding other musicians to the live performances, starting with backup singers (The Love Dogs) and finally leading to a horn section. The sound was totally unique and they soon found success with The Bad Ass Brass (Chris Arbisi, Terry Thomas & Brendan Stiles) backing them up. They signed to Elektra Records in 1990 and released their self-titled debut album in 1991. It was produced by George Drakoulias (The Black Crowes) & engineered by Brendan O'Brien  (Pearl Jam). The album was an immediate hit, fueled by the video for "Apple Pie," which was in heavy rotation on MTV's Buzz Bin. The song reached #39 on Billboard's Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, while the album charted at #122 on The Billboard 200. Unfortunately, the original band decided to split up because of musical differences just as everything was starting to explode. While the band was on hiatus, the other single from their album, "The Crawl", was used as the theme song for MTV's The Jon Stewart Show and was also a mainstay as a single on MTV's Headbanger's Ball.Dave Alvin continued White Trash with an entirely new lineup in 1992. Craig LeBlang took over guitar duties, Eric Brodin handled the bass, & Dave Barckow sat behind the drum kit. They released Si O Si, Que? in 1993 and toured extensively. Two singles were released from the album ("Minor Happiness" & "Pig") with a video for "Minor Happiness" as well. As the grunge scene took over however, the music industry changed dramatically and White Trash didn't seem to fit in. This was largely due to being unfairly labeled as a Hair Metal band, when there really was a lot more to them than that. Soon after, they decided to disband, and for several years after all of the guys worked on seperate projects. The original band reformed in 2007 and because of the attention this reunion attracted, they released a new album, 3D Monkeys in Space shortly thereafter. The band has kept working since then with several small lineup changes and released a fourth studio album (Suburban Purgatory) in 2015

Popa Chubby, born Ted Horowitz, has been hard rocking the blues in his fierce and soulful way for more than 30 years. Over the course of a career that dates back to 1994, he has been a force of to be reckoned with on the guitar, and his tempestuous, soulful playing has never been more powerful. An imposing figure with a shaven head, tattooed arms, a goatee and a performance style he describes as “the Stooges meets Buddy Guy, Motörhead meets Muddy Waters, and Jimi Hendrix meets Robert Johnson," Popa Chubby is an endearing character who is one of the genre’s most popular figures. His career has always been about moving forward and carving a place for himself in the imposing terrain of the music business, overcoming odds to continue growing and maturing as a creative force. He has built a constantly increasing base of fans across the world, where in many territories he is a star. A native New Yorker, Horowitz's first gigs were in the NYC punk scene as a guitarist for what he reflects was a "crazy Japanese special effects performance artist in a kimono called Screaming Mad George who had a horror-movie inspired show." Right from the starthe was immersed in rock ‘n’ roll as theater, and learned from George and others playing CBGB’s at the time that included the Ramones, the Cramps, Richard Hell, whose band, the Voidoids he joined that rock ‘n’ roll should be dangerous. He reflects, "Musicians like the Ramones and the Sex Pistols weren’t just bands. They were a threat to society." The Blues however was the foundation of his playing style. He recalls, "Since I’d grown up on Hendrix, Cream and Led Zeppelin, when I started playing blues in New York clubs I understood that the blues should be dangerous, too. It wasn’t just from playing in punk bands. Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters were dangerous men. They’d cut or shoot you if they thought it was necessary, and Little Walter packed a gun and wouldn’t  hesitate to use it. That danger is a real part of the Blues and I keep it alive in my music.” Popa Chubby is his own man for better or worse. He reflects, "I’m living in a wild time, and that is where the inspiration is drawn from. There are my issues, but the picture is much bigger than me and my situation. Everything is breaking down in the world. The lines are being redefined. We all need something.”

Chronic Delta is an alternative rock band that mixes various elements of different genres into one rock-centered sound. The band was formed in 2017 while its members were still young high schoolers in Astoria, Queens. After the success of their single, “Freshman,” in 2018, the band has been continuously writing new material, and is currently in the process of producing a full length album. Their influences are rooted in a diverse selection of bands such as "The Beatles," "Red Hot Chili Peppers," "Led Zeppelin," and some modern artists including "Tame Impala," "John Mayer," "Arctic Monkeys," and many more. They do not view the term "genre" as a limiting factor, but an invitation for experimentation. The band's saxophonist Colin Bharat is driven by jazz in his playing, which perfectly complements the funk-filled melodic lines performed by bassist Gabriel Enriquez. The rhythm laid down by powerhouse Dylan Carey on the drums meshes perfectly with the syncopated strumming patterns of Nick Paiva-Santos on guitar/vocals and the face melting riffs of lead guitarist Christian Zagada. With their energy shining through the funky bass lines, psychedelic atmospheres, hard rock riffs, and relatable lyricism of their songs, Chronic Delta is a band that above all else takes into account the joy of music into everything they do.

THE UNBROKEN formed in the high powered metal scene in Brooklyn, NY. The band’s captivating, high-energy performances transport to Modern Day Thrash Metal; combining Metallica’s in your face attitude with Pantera’s chunkiness and Slipknot’s infectious groove, their musical direction emulates the heavy metal legends of yore, refreshed by the trappings of the modern metal era.
The UNBROKEN, founded just two years ago, demonstrate the impeccable cohesion of a group that has decades of musical experience and collaboration with one another. Their upcoming EP "Human Crown" was self produced by the band where John Bender (Papa Roach, Drowning Pool, Hellyeah) helped in production and Johann Meyer (Gojira) took care of mixing duties as well as Alan Doutches (Mastodon, High On Fire, Every Time I Die) put the final mastering touches on the record.
Band is currently working on a full length LP - 2021

Reality Suite is a bit of a New Jersey super-group. Their fusion of modern and classic rock is a fairly compelling mix since they really don’t sound like any other indie band I can think of," -  Jim Testa, contributing writer to Rolling Stone magazine and founder of Jersey Beat fanzine.
Some say “rock is dead.” But hard work isn't. After 10 years of evolving as melodic rock savants, Reality Suite is determined to awaken the masses and demonstrate that rock is NOT dead. "Reality Suite has become one of my favorite bands for numerous reasons. They are a kick-ass in-your-face rock band with a dynamic frontwoman," stated East Coast renowned photographer, Jeff Crespi. WRAT 95.9FM radio DJ, Tom Hanley stated in his blog, "The female-fronted Hard Rock act puts out a modern Arena Rock sound composed of killer vocals, complex instrumentals and meaningful lyrics."
Formed in North Haledon, New Jersey by childhood friends Brian King (drums,) Antonio Valenti (bass,) and Joe Padula (guitars) – their ambitions have been to produce heavy, melodic rock. After several male and female vocalists, Kimmii Heart joined in 2013 establishing the definitive line-up known today worldwide.
In September 2015, the self-produced debut full-length ”Skinn” was released. A unique sound to global rock fans, it was secretly a greatest hits album capitalizing on Reality Suite’s most popular songs from previous EPs. MPire Magazine declared, “Skinn is a damned near perfect piece of rock, one that incorporates the old and new in the right balance."
After the 2018 self-released "Awaken" EP exceeded fan and critic expectations, the attention of several European record labels ensued. Danish record label Lions Pride Music won the partnership with Reality Suite resulting in 2019's expanded album "Awaken (Deluxe)." Their first album to not be self-produced boasts the production mastery of hard rock producer/engineer Mike Ferretti (Sevendust, Saliva, Brand of Julez) and pop/R&B producer Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Jessica Simpson, Pink.) Awaken (Deluxe) available digitally and on CD will see its vinyl release on June 12th, 2021.

Aurin is back with their new album “Serotonin” (released on 9/13/19 through TLG / INgrooves). “Serotonin” was produced by Grammy award nominated Mike Ferretti (Sevendust, Thank you Scientist, Saliva). The album debuted at #1 on Amazon Hard Rock Best Sellers, #10 in overall Rock, and has since had over 220,000 streams on Spotify. The first two singles “Pause Rewind Repeat” and “Brother” have been featured in publications such as AP magazine, and Loudwire.

After their critically acclaimed 2014 release of record label debut album “Catharsis” on Pavement Entertainment / RED, the band hit the road, and has since shared the stage with several national acts such as : Art of Dying, Otep, Nonpoint, Icon For Hire, Gemini Syndrome, Ill Nino, Adrenaline Mob, Fit for Rivals, Smile Empty Soul, Members of Breaking Benjamin, 40 Below Summer, Tantric, Spineshank, & more!

Their latest single “Brother”, is about dealing with the emotions that come along when a loved one ends their own life. The raw, emotional track was written by guitarist Andrew Wayne, whose brother took his own life in 2012. Aurin detail a powerful, first-person account of suicide in this song and music video.

“It took me over five years to muster up the courage to actually write about it” says Wayne. “The video is a dedication to him and the city that he loved (New York City), where he lived and died. He was a prodigal artist with an uncanny ability to portray beauty. We decided to feature his artwork, not just for the “Serotonin” album cover, but throughout the rest of the album as well. This song is dedicated to him. It is dedicated not only to his memory, but to all the people that have been lost to such tragedy."

The first single from Serotonin “Pause Rewind Repeat” has a strong message behind it regarding the times we are living in. “Political divides are tearing nations and their people apart. So many of us are too busy placing the blame or turning a blind eye, that we have forgotten the importance of being humanitarian. The song is intended to show that we need to be stronger in order to push through all of the pain and suffering in this world. We need to lift each other up in order to break through the barriers that have been placed between us.” – Sarah Anderson Wayne

Thank you and can't wait for Queens Rockfest! Please let me know if you need anything else or have any questions.

Thank you,
Andrew Wayne
